Sunny, with a few clouds, 25 degrees, DH, DDs, and myslef! What a perfect summer day!
We are now 2 weeks away from our annual "corn festival"(the event proudly named By DD#1),
and we are getting ready. It's mostly all cleaning of the grounds that is left to do. Final coat of paint goes in the outhouse today.
I spent part of the day pulling out weeds from my garden. I let it go for a while, and now it's overgrown,oops! But I did collect my first vegetable, a red pepper! Ho what to cook with it???
Then I got on the lawn tractor, and got rollin'. The kids were well behaved, always staying within eye sight.
DD#1 figured out how to get herself swinging from a stand still on our swing set. The sun was setting behind the trees, DH was picking up branches, building our fire pit wood for our bonfire.
It was a perfect picture of a perfect family.
It's too bad that we're already mid august. School starts in 3 days. Will mean having to go into the house earlier, but back to the routine of life!
