We sure get attached to all these little and not so little creatures that become our pets. Ranging from a small pond snail to a horse, they are all cared for and loved equally.
Our beloved beta fish, Pretty Pink Purple passed away yesterday. She'd been with us since January, a birthday present for DD. Let's just say tears were flowing last night from poor DD. She cherished feeding times, watching her fish come up and eat right out of her fingers.
It's always hard to explain to a six year old the reason why her pet fish had to die. But she is reassured that PPP is now with Grampa in heaven, enjoying the biggest aquarium a fishy can imagine.
